Stat Ilusión

MATERIALS NEEDED:

For this back you just need a tube, you may also use a misted image, and your PSP.

I'm using a lovely anime: ©Ayumi.K (http://aymk.net

1. Open a new image 800 x 400.

2. Selection Tool: Ellipse. Antialias: ticked. Start drawing the shape by placing the arrow in the center of the image (the crossing point between 200 horizontal and 400 vertical). You may use the Guides to help you find the exact point in the middle of the image. Leave a blank space roughly equivalent to the size of a block (the blocks in the transparent image) on each side on the image. See the screenshot below.

3. Choose two colours from the tube you are going to use in the tag. Look in the gradient's palette for the foreground-background gradient. Linear Style; angle: 150.

4. New raster layer. Fill the layer with your gradient.

5. Selections < Modify < Contract 10.

6. Shadow: V & H: 7; Opacity: 35; Blur: 7; Colour: Black.

7. Repeat the shadow, changing the H & V to negative numbers (-7).

8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 (included).

9. Selections < Modify < Contract 33.

10. Repeat steps 6 and 7.

11. New raster layer. Don't deselect yet.

12. Copy the tube and paste it as new layer. You may also use the  'Paste into selection' option. Arrange.

13. Add the credits for the tube and write your name or watermark.

14. Save as jpg (or png) image, unless you prefer to add it some sparkles. You're done!

These steps were included in the original tutorial to make a background for Outlook Express (no longer available), though if you have IncrediMail (also, not available anymore), you can choose a background colour and add the tag to it.

15. Image < Canvas size: 1024 x 400. Choose the middle top diamond.

15. Fill the background layer (transparent) with the gradient, just as in step 3.

16. Selections < Select all < Modify < Contract 10.

17. Drop shadow as in steps 6 and 7. Select none.

18. Add the credits.

19. Save as jpg (or png) image, unless you prefer to add it some sparkles.

I hope you enjoyed this really easy background. And if you decide to have a try at it, don't hesitate: I'd love to see your results and upload them to my ***Tags Showcase***. Just follow the link below to send your tag.
